The Eighty-Eight: Impossible Biology &  Small Innerverses

These small oil paintings on paper are “snapshots of an imagined microscopic world of non-existent cells, bioilogical process and my innerverses --  inner universes. Like a snapshot, they describe a moment in time where elements are moving together, pushing apart, merging, dividing or drifting side by side. Each painting is a potential small universe and the forms are loosely based on the natural world of basic biological functions, minerals, water and sky. They are all 5" x 5" when they are matted and framed.
